Canadian Killed by Singaporean Woman

>> Saturday, March 07, 2009

My goodness, the murder case of Francis Alex Degioanni, a Canadian living in Phuket who was shot, has certainly taken a wild turn.

Tonight six people accused of involvement in the crime were paraded in front of the media at a local police station, and another two are expected to be arrested soon.

A Singaporean woman is believed to have ordered a hit, while the others helped plan and carry out the shooting.

Phuketwan has a story and photo album of the dramatic arrest - Patong Murder: Singapore Woman Accused

CBC is also giving it coverage here - Thai police arrest 6 in slaying of Canadian

It takes a village to raze a man, apparently.

A sad but all too common occurence that seems to follow the seedier side of property development and real estate.

Arguably all the more reason to bring in licensing for Property Developers and Real Estate agents and controls, including background checks, on foreign sales staff.

About Phuket

It's pronounced "pooh-ket", not "fuckit".
Its population is roughly 30% Chinese-Thai, 30% Malay Muslim Thai, 30% Buddhist Thai and an assortment of nutjobs and wackos such as myself.
It's a great place to come for holiday, but I'd rather you not because there's enough traffic here already, thank you very much.
It's a long way from Canada.
